Grape variety: Pecorino, Fiano and Malvasia.
VINEYARDS
Production area: family organic vineyards in Carassai and Petritoli, small hilltop villages in Aso Valley.
Soil type: mainly calcareous and clayey with varying proportions of gravel.
WINEMAKING
Late harvest. Pre-fermentation maceration happens in stainless steel. Aging takes place over years in small concrete tanks.
WINEMAKER TASTING NOTES
Subtle luminosity, complex nose of citrus, apricots and honey. In the mouth explosion of ripe fruit and beeswax hints.
WINE PAIRING
Liù pairs well with equally bold foods, including curry dishes, Moroccan cuisine but also long-aged cheeses.
